This Privacy Policy describes how EZ Recurring LLC ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Exit51 mobile application ("App" or "Service").

1. What Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Account Registration: When you create an account, we collect:
- Username (max 20 characters, changeable once per 3 months)
- Email address
- Profile image/avatar (uploaded by you)
- Password (encrypted)
Apple Sign In: If you sign in with Apple, we receive:
- Name (optional)
- Email address or private relay email (if you hide your real email)
We use this only to create and authenticate your account. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
Vehicle/Garage Data: When you add vehicles to your garage, we collect:
- Vehicle make, model, and year
- Vehicle photos you upload
- Modification list and categories
1.2 Location Data (Automatically Collected)
Exit51 continuously collects your precise GPS location to provide core app features.
Collection Methods:
- Foreground Tracking: When the App is open, we continuously collect your latitude, longitude, speed, and location accuracy
- Background Tracking: When the App runs in the background (if you granted permission), we collect your location every 30 seconds
- Geofence Tracking: We monitor a rolling geofence around your location to detect when you explore new map tiles
Location Uses:
- Display your real-time position on the map to friends you have accepted
- Calculate routes and ETAs during Convoy sessions
- Track explored map tiles for game progression
- Maintain your online status (via "heartbeat" pings)
Location Permissions: Exit51 will request two location permissions from iOS:
- "While Using the App" - Required for foreground tracking
- "Always Allow" - Optional for background location tracking while the App is minimized
You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings (Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Exit51). Revoking permissions will stop all location tracking.
Location Sharing Control (Ghost Mode): You can disable all location sharing by enabling Ghost Mode in Map Settings. When Ghost Mode is active:
- Your location is NOT sent to our servers
- Your location is NOT visible to any friends
- Your speed is NOT recorded for leaderboards
1.3 Friend & Social Data
When you interact with friends, we collect and store:
- Friend requests you send and receive (username and status: pending, accepted, declined)
- Friend list (usernames of accepted friends)
- Friend locations (real-time lat/lng of mutual friends)
- Friend's explored tiles (map areas your friends have visited)
- Online status (last-seen timestamp)
Privacy Controls for Friends: Your garage and modifications visibility is controlled by your profile privacy setting:
- Public: Everyone can see your garage and modifications
- Friends Only: Only accepted friends can see your garage and modifications
- Private: No one can see your garage or modifications
1.4 Convoy Data
When you create or join a convoy, all convoy members can see:
- Your real-time location and speed
- Your route to the destination
- Your estimated time of arrival (ETA)
- Your username and profile
1.5 Device Information
We automatically collect:
- Device model, manufacturer, and type
- iOS version and build number
- Unique device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV)
- App version and crash logs
- Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Mobile carrier information
This data is used for app analytics, troubleshooting, crash reporting, and maintaining app performance.
1.6 Subscription & Payment Data
We do NOT collect payment information directly. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store:
- We receive subscription status (active, expired, cancelled) from RevenueCat
- We receive entitlement status (which features you have access to)
- We do NOT receive your credit card or payment method details
- All billing is handled securely by Apple
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for:
- Service Delivery: Provide the Exit51 app and all features (location tracking, friend connections, convoys)
- Account Management: Create accounts, authenticate users, manage subscriptions, and support account access
- Social Features: Display friends' locations and garage info
- Analytics: Understand how users interact with Exit51 to improve features and performance
- Security & Fraud Prevention: Detect abuse, prevent cheating, protect against unauthorized access
- Customer Support: Respond to inquiries and resolve issues
- Legal Compliance: Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal requests
3. Who We Share Your Information With
3.1 Other Users
Friends: Your real-time location, speed, explored tiles, and garage info are visible to other users based on your privacy settings and friend status.
3.2 Third-Party Service Providers
We may share information with:
- RevenueCat: Processes subscriptions and entitlements (receives your subscription status and user ID)
- Apple: Sign In with Apple authentication
- Cloud Hosting Provider: Server infrastructure and data storage (all data encrypted in transit and at rest)
- Analytics Services: App performance and usage analytics
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, government request, or to protect our legal rights or the safety of users.
3.4 Business Transfers
If Exit51 is acquired, merged, or sold, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice if this occurs.
3.5 What We DO NOT Do
- We do NOT sell location data to advertisers or data brokers
- We do NOT share personal information for marketing to third parties
- We do NOT rent or license your data
- We do NOT share data with "offer walls" or ad networks (except anonymized analytics)
4. Data Retention
We retain your information as follows:
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Location Data: Real-time location retained for 30 days. Historical location data retained as needed to display friend locations.
- Garage & Vehicle Data: Retained while your account is active or until you delete vehicles.
- Friend Connections: Retained while friendship is active or until deleted.
- Device & Analytics Data: Retained for up to 90 days for troubleshooting and analytics.
- Payment/Subscription Data: Retained by Apple and RevenueCat per their policies.
When you delete your account, all associated data is removed from our servers within 30 days, except where legally required to retain it.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures:
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers uses TLS/SSL encryption
- Encryption at Rest: Sensitive data stored on servers is encrypted
- Access Controls: Access to data is limited to authorized personnel
- Authentication: Passwords are hashed and salted, not stored in plaintext
- Tokens: Session tokens are encrypted and regularly rotated
Limitation: While we use reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. Unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyberattacks can occur despite our safeguards. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password secure and confidential
- Not sharing your account credentials
- Securing your device (passcode, Face ID, etc.)
- Immediately notifying us of unauthorized access
6. Children & Minors
Exit51 is rated 16+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
If we become aware that a user under 16 has created an account, we will deactivate the account and delete all associated data within 30 days. If you believe a minor's information has been collected, please contact us at team@ezr.llc.
7. Your Privacy Rights
7.1 Data Access & Portability
You have the right to request a copy of all personal information we hold about you. Submit requests to team@ezr.llc.
7.2 Data Correction
You can update your account information (username, email, profile image) within the App or by contacting us.
7.3 Data Deletion (Right to be Forgotten)
You can delete your account at any time through App settings. This will permanently remove:
- Your username and email
- Your profile image
- Your garage and all vehicles
- Your location history
- Your friend connections
- All associated data
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
7.4 Withdrawal of Consent
You can revoke location permission at any time through iOS Settings, which will stop all location tracking. You can enable Ghost Mode to prevent location sharing without revoking permission.
7.5 Do Not Track (DNT)
Exit51 does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals (as these are not applicable to mobile apps). We do respect the privacy settings and permissions you configure on your iOS device.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You can request what personal information we collect, use, and share
- Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your personal information (except where legally required to retain)
- Right to Opt-Out: You can opt-out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell data)
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

9. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union or UK, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Legal Basis: We process data based on your consent (account creation) and legitimate interests (service delivery, security)
- Data Subject Rights: You have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port your data

10. International Data Transfers
Exit51's servers are hosted in Germany. By using the App, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in Germany, which may have different privacy laws than your country of residence.
11. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email. Your continued use of Exit51 after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
